Russia to limit number of banks to keep state money
MOSCOW, Mar 25 (PRIME) -- The Russian government will limit the number of banks which can keep state money, but the measure will be cancelled once the Analytical Credit Ratings Agency (ACRA) starts issuing national scale ratings deposited, Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseyev said Friday.
“We expect a government ruling soon which will introduce additional restrictions for placing state funds. We are unfortunately continuing losing significant amounts of state funds at banks,” he said.
In order to keep state funds, a bank should have a capital of over 25 billion rubles and should have a capital boost through the Deposit Insurance Agency, Moiseyev said.
